The Patriotic Bee, LLC is a family-owned apiary dedicated to maintaining the health and productivity of its honeybees. Located on the owner's personal property, the apiary produces and sells high-quality honey, as well as certified honeybees. The Patriotic Bee's honey was awarded First Place at the 2023 Virginia State Beekeepers Association (VSBA) annual conference, making it a local favorite.

Originally from Rochester, New York Alexandra settled in Williamsburg, VA after a 30-year military career serving in the United Stated Coast Guard. With her son grown and on his own, she found time to explore her interests of gardening and beekeeping. After completing several courses, Alexandra became a James City County/Williamsburg Ma
Originally from Rochester, New York Alexandra settled in Williamsburg, VA after a 30-year military career serving in the United Stated Coast Guard. With her son grown and on his own, she found time to explore her interests of gardening and beekeeping. After completing several courses, Alexandra became a James City County/Williamsburg Master Gardener and a hobbyist Beekeeper. In addition to gardening and maintaining her beehives, Alexandra works as a seasonal Apiary Inspector for the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS).

We only sell bees raised on our property. We do not import honeybees from Georgia, South or North Carolina or anywhere else for that matter. Just healthy local Virginia honeybees.
We sell NUCs. Each NUC box is equipped with a 5-Frame Nucleus Hive, including two to three brood frames, one food frame, one frame in progress, and a mated quee
